If you’ve never ever experienced Cornhole previously, or have seen limited action, maybe you think it is just a matter of stepping up to the line and tossing a few cornhole bags with the hope of getting 1 in the hole. While it genuinely is a simple activity, there are cornhole bag tossing methods you can use to improve your accuracy. The method you pick will hinge on which one works best for you, and what you feel most at ease with. Generally there are four fundamental cornhole bag tossing techniques here for you to choose from, and I recommend you try out all 4 before you settle on one.

Basic cornhole bag throwing techniques:

1. The Easy Fold- You fold the cornhole bag in two. That’s simple, don’t you think so? However here are a few points you must do when you fold the bag in half. Be sure the cornhole bag is flat and the corn inside is equally distributed. If you don’t, your cornbag will be uneven, and can fly off to unintended destinations. Keep it simple or otherwise you may never get the hang of it.

2. The Double Crease- Hold the bag by one corner and let all the corn fall to the bottom of the bag. Fold it in half, then fold it again as you would in the Basic Fold. You now have a much smaller object to toss, and some folks feel they have greater control of the cornbag when they use this technique.

3. The Dart- Throwing the cornhole bag like this is guaranteed to get everyone fired up. Some Cornhole players feel this technique gives them more control, but this technique also results in numerous wild throws for the majority of players, especially those who haven’t played much. You probably won’t score too many points but you’ll be guaranteed a laugh or two when they see how hard you are throwing.

4. The Board Cruiser- Probably the must popular throw among all cornhole players. It’s really easy to do too…take the bags and give them a pitch at the board. After a few throws that land in numerous places, you really should be able to find your range and, at the very least, get close to the target with a vast majority of your throws.

After you’ve enjoyed a few rounds you can decide what feels best, keep it going so it gets to be second nature. You can even modify it a bit to suit your form, and that is what I have done. Should none of the cornhole bag tossing options be right for you, well, there are often desktop cornhole sets that will be better for you. They can indeed be quite enjoyable too, and it does not matter how you hold the little cornhole bags.
